Portfolio Insights is a privacy-first portfolio tracking and analytics app. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the app and related support services.
Portfolio Insights is not a broker, trading platform, investment adviser, or custodian. We do not provide brokerage, trading, or investment advisory services.
Information We Collect
The app is designed to minimize collection of personal information. Information you choose to enter may include portfolio holdings, transactions, account labels, asset notes, preferences, and app settings.
If you contact support, we may receive your email address and any information you include in your message.
Portfolio Data
Portfolio data may be stored locally on the device and may be synchronized through the user's personal iCloud account when cloud synchronization is enabled.
Portfolio data is used to provide tracking, analytics, allocation views, exposure analysis, and related app functionality. We do not sell personal information.
iCloud and CloudKit
When iCloud sync is enabled, Apple's iCloud and CloudKit services may store and synchronize your app data through your personal iCloud account. Apple's privacy terms and iCloud settings apply to that synchronization.
You can manage iCloud availability and related settings through iOS and your Apple ID settings.
Diagnostics
Diagnostics may include crash reports, performance data, device model, iOS version, app version, and similar technical information. Diagnostics help improve reliability and troubleshoot issues.
Diagnostics do not intentionally include your portfolio contents. If you send screenshots or detailed support messages, you are responsible for the information included in those materials.
How We Use Information
Information is used to operate the app, provide portfolio tracking and analytics features, maintain app preferences, respond to support requests, improve reliability, and comply with legal obligations.
Data Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We do not share your portfolio data with brokers, advertisers, or data brokers.
Information may be shared only when necessary to provide requested support, comply with law, protect rights and safety, or operate platform services such as Apple iCloud when you enable those features.
Data Retention
Data stored locally remains on your device unless you delete it, uninstall the app, reset the device, or remove it through app features. Data synchronized through iCloud is managed through your personal iCloud account and Apple settings.
Support emails may be retained as needed to respond to requests, maintain records, and improve support quality.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information handled by the app. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's Privacy
Portfolio Insights is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
